We are looking for the Head of ELITE in Portugal to oversee the Business Development & Sales activity in the Country. This new position will report directly to the Head of ELITE Europe, ad interim covered by the CEO of ELITE.

Amongst other projects, the resource is accountable for the below activities:

  • Strategic commercial development for Portugal: develop and execute an effective commercial plan to generate new business and deepen strategic relationships to increase ELITE’s footprint and rollout of new services, in coordination with Product / Marketing teams
  • Revenue management: develop and maintain revenues (including on a recurring basis) with existing and new clients by leveraging on the value proposition of product /service on scope
  • Relationship management: make tactical and strategic contacts at the management level through client networks and other channels
  • Support to build the new Sales & Relationship Management approach in Europe to ensure and drive the execution of a structured Relationship Management model, in order to ensure continuous engagement with paying members (both companies and partners)
  • Product & market development: build specific, sector-oriented knowledge for the various products. Identify market developments and translate them into sales activities (outbound)
  • Work closely with Product Teams in order to coordinate product proposition and facilitate go-to market/distribution
  • Develop the strategic partnerships in Portugal (including banks, corporates, Government, institutional bodies, opinion makers) to pave the way for ELITE to become one of the most relevant players in private companies support in Europe
  • Coordinate cross-selling activities and increase the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU)


Your profile

  • 10+ years of experience with a track record in Sales and Business Development
  • Corporate Finance background
  • Agile and proactive style, able to balance the competing demands of the role
  • Strong commercial and relational skills supported by analytical and structured working style
  • Team player with a proactive approach, pragmatic, customer oriented and numbers-driven
  • Strong and proactive communicator and leader
  • Rigorous project management skills: ability to leverage internal and external relationships, autonomy and determination to drive forward projects, provide clear business input into functional requirements.
  • Pan-European business experience – developing products in multiple geographic locations is a plus.
  • Languages: Portuguese and English are mandatory - any other european language (italian, spanish, deutch) is a plus

Key accountabilities

  • Client success: ensure that the service/product is successfully delivered to the client and communicate with the client to fix potential issues. Identify cross-selling possibilities
  • Integrated and comprehensive value proposition: interact with internal stakeholders to ensure that the value proposition of your product/service is comprehensive to notably generate cross-selling opportunities.
