In this role you will do the necessary coordination, planning, incorporation and design of positioning and interface coordination of Leidos equipment with other disciplines on 2D and 3D models of architectural drawings of the airport for Dubai International Security Lanes Modernization program. This coordination will ensure smooth installation of Leidos equipment with no interference to other facilities and exact positioning of the equipment in accordance with customer requirements. Interface Coordinator will ensure that the implementation of site works, and documentation is in accordance with EH&S and QA/QC requirements of the contract, Local regulations and Leidos policies. The Interface Coordinator will be expected to perform with minimal supervision and successfully interact with all levels of Leidos personnel and external stakeholders to coordinate all CAD, REVIT and/or BIM Models for smooth project execution and successful closure of the program. The Interface Coordinator is expected to have the site works completed according to a Project Scheduled agreed with the customer. The Interface Coordinator may also be utilized in other programs in United Arab Emirates or in Middle East or Globally (remotely) as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Design and GA drawings of Leidos Equipment for each installation area, CAD and/or REVIT and/or BIM works.
- Compliance to contract, government and Leidos and international safety and standards.
- Supporting install teams during installation for positioning of the equipment.
- Liaising with Project management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Installation Teams.
- Liaising with End User/Customer and other Subcontractors on a technical level. Provide overall coordination of the Works.
- Prepare and Coordinate Coordination Drawings, if necessary, to coordinate work by more than one contractor executing works on adjacent or related sites and with contractors or persons employed directly by the Employer. Obtain from other contractors and exchange with them the up-to-date technical data necessary for the production of Coordination Drawings.
- Coordinate sequencing and scheduling of the Works: The Contractor shall attend the meetings (Combined Contractors’ Meetings), arranged as and when required by the Engineer, with other contractors for sequencing and coordinating the Works.
- Provide construction photography.
- Provide quality-assurance and quality-control services specified in Section 014000 "Quality Requirements".
- Coordinate sequence of activities to accommodate tests and inspections, and coordinate schedule of tests and inspections.
- Provide information necessary to adjust, move, or relocate existing utility structures affected by construction.
- Locate existing permanent benchmarks, control points, and similar reference points, and establish permanent benchmarks on Site.
- Provide field surveys of in-progress construction and site work.
- Coordinate completion of interrelated punch list items
- Coordinate preparation and submittal of Record Documents.
- Submit record documents if installations by more than one contractor are indicated on the same contract drawing or shop drawing.
- Collect record Specification Sections from contractors, collate Sections into numeric order, and submit complete set.
- Coordinate preparation of operation and maintenance manuals if information from more than one contractor is to be integrated with information from other contractors to form one combined record.
- Schedule and sequence mechanical and electrical activities.
- Coordinate protection of mechanical and electrical contractors' work.
- Prepare mechanical and electrical coordination and As-built drawings.
- Coordinate tests and inspections for mechanical and electrical work.
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical temporary services and facilities.
- Supervise & Coordinate the Interface Coordination with Customer, End-User Contractor, Subcontractors and other necessary parties. Guide and supervise Installation Staff and EHS Officer to ensure required interface coordination and project documentation works under management of Program Manager.
- To be knowledgeable in detail about the contract technical requirements and provide direction to the site team that will result in a technical solution that meets the eventual user needs and is compliant with the contract requirements.
- Coordinate Design Reviews, Inspection and Test Plan, Close-out documentation and others that are contractually specified.
- Proficient in AutoDesk Inventor 3D, AutoCAD 2D & Vault Pro.
- Experience using Inventor, SolidWorks, and ePDM (preferred).
- Experience in the design of conveyors/baggage handling.
- Proficient in electrical and mechanical interface coordination.
- Experience in airport and aviation sector.
- Attend Technical meetings and do necessary coordination with Customer.
- Coordinate Integration, and Interface Control Documents, Network Design, Raise Site Clarification Requests when necessary.
- Coordinate all documentation and interface works as required by the contract and program.
- Participates in internal program reviews and reports project status to program manager as appropriate.
- Provide input for Change orders and Letters when requested by Program Manager
- Support all site activities (including but not limited to delivery, offloading and storage, installation, testing, and completion) according to contract requirements, local country requirements and Leidos policies and procedures, as necessary.
- Follow up with PM regarding machine shipments (Program Manager leads the shipments), as necessary.
- Lead/Coordinate Accessories, Spare Parts, Faulty Part Replacement and Return (RMA) Shipments, as necessary.
- Support Delivery, Transport, and Storage coordination and oversee all phases of Installation for according to Project Schedule and project requirements, as necessary.
- Review Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports to support Program Manager, as necessary.
- Prepare, Coordinate and Follow up the Project Schedule in coordination with Program Manager for timely completion.
- Report any execution risks on project instantly to Program Manager as necessary.
- The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time as advised by Program Manager
- Constructs a project schedule to implement the EH&S system for all site works, communicates to internal and external customers to set expectations, assign duties, sets deadlines, do schedule revisions as necessary and follow up with stakeholders.
- Good time keeping. Organized and able to prioritize and plan to meet deadlines.
- Communicate with stakeholders including team meetings, providing regular status reports and delivering required technical reports, conducting site reviews, preparing statements of work, utilizing documentation control system and configuration management system to release site documentation required by contract

Requirements:
- Strong documentation and process discipline with close attention to details
- Proficiency in creating 2D mechanical and electrical CAD documents
- Expert Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM modelling
- Working knowledge for Project Interface Coordination and Documentation
- 3 Years Experience in Interface Coordination on Construction Projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills

- Proven ability to apply supervision and coordination and substantive technical expertise
- Proven experience of successful site implementation and program completion
- Previous experience in a similar working environment, i.e. Airports, Electromechanical installations
- Demonstrable experience of successfully influencing stakeholders regarding site execution and problem resolution
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and to effectively present information to stakeholders
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or similar
- Excellent on MS Office, MS Project, Acrobat Pro, and MS Outlook
- Residence in Gulf Region and willingness to relocate to UAE if necessary
- Valid UAE or International driving license
- Checkable work history for airport passes (security vetting may be required)
Desirable:
- Expert knowledge of Primavera
- Proficient in the use of Costpoint
- PMP and Finance knowledge is a plus
- Native Arabic speaker
- Understanding of key business metrics, key drivers, business vision, and airport installation processes and challenges as applicable
