Role Overview
Catalyze at Lowe’s is at the forefront of innovation, driving cutting-edge partnerships and initiatives with startups, VCs, and internal stakeholders to accelerate business transformation. We are expanding our team to include an Innovation Program Manager who will play a critical role in the success of startup evaluations, POC execution, and partnership initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, innovation, and business, with strong experience in managing programs, building relationships, and ensuring timely execution in dynamic environments. The position requires collaboration across multiple teams and a keen ability to balance execution with strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities
POC Program Management & Execution

Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Technologies (POTs), ensuring projects move forward on time and meet agreed objectives.
Work with cross-functional teams (tech, product, business) to define the scope, milestones, and success metrics for POCs.
Ensure clear documentation of outcomes, learnings, and recommendations for scale-up or further investment.

Startup Evaluations & Ecosystem Engagement
Support startup pipeline development by identifying, evaluating, and shortlisting startups based on business and technical needs.
Conduct due diligence on startups, working closely with VCs, accelerators, and external partners to understand their capabilities and fit for Lowe’s.
Provide technical assessments and collaborate with internal business teams to recommend innovative solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Partnership Management
Serve as a bridge between external startup partners and internal teams, ensuring alignment on goals and execution.
Conduct problem statement discovery workshops with internal teams.
Partner with key functions (engineering, business units, finance, legal) to streamline program delivery and ensure stakeholder expectations are met.
Maintain relationships with ecosystem partners (VCs, accelerators) and collaborate on joint events, startup showcases, and workshops.

Cross-Functional Reporting & Insights
Prepare management reports on program progress, outcomes, and next steps for leadership review.
Develop frameworks for program tracking, risk mitigation, and success measurement to ensure high standards of execution and transparency.

Event Coordination & Representation
Play a key role in the organization of events such as the Innovation Xchange, working alongside the Catalyze team to ensure seamless execution.
Represent Catalyze in external forums to further Lowe’s presence in the startup and innovation ecosystem.

Key Success Metrics
Completion of POCs/POTs within scope, budget, and timelines, delivering measurable impact.
Strong pipeline of high-quality startup partnerships.
Positive feedback from internal stakeholders on collaboration and results.
Effective management reporting and clear communication to senior leadership.

Key Qualifications
Experience & Expertise

Program Management: Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional programs in fast-paced environments.
Tech-Driven Business Acumen: Strong understanding of both technical and business challenges, especially in evaluating and managing innovative startup solutions.
Startup & Ecosystem Knowledge: Experience in working with startups, VCs, accelerators, or corporate innovation programs.
Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Results Orientation: Demonstrated ability to prioritize, drive initiatives to completion, and deliver impactful results.

Preferred Background
5–8 years of experience in program management, innovation, or technology-driven roles.
Experience working with startups, venture capital ecosystems, or large corporate innovation teams is highly valued.
Technical degree (B.E./B.Tech) preferred; additional certifications in program management or business-related fields are a plus.
