What you will do

As a Senior Engineering Manager, Software Quality you will be responsible for leading a team of Software Quality Engineers supporting new product development within Stryker Instruments. You will have cross functional responsibility and work closely with business unit leadership to deliver predictable, quality product launches.

  • You must be able to develop talent, advocate for, and drive team development.

  • You will develop, coordinate, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance processes and systems for new products and acquisitions.

  • You will lead and coordinate the activities of Software Quality Engineers that are part of larger, cross-functional NPD project teams and will provide Quality leadership for the broader NPD team.

  • You will drive product security strategy and execution needed for sustaining products and launching new products.

  • You will act as a Division Process Owner for Product Security and/or SDLC to drive continuous improvement and compliance for software QMS processes.

  • You will oversee the design of test methods for software design verification testing.

  • You will train others in QA/GMP/SDLC related topics.

  • You will be expected to operate autonomously and make decisions that are best for the business.

  • You will evaluate the performance of the Software Quality Engineering team based on pre-established performance parameters.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • 10+ year of experience in a regulated environment

  • Experience in new product development

  • Experience in Product Security, Design Controls, Software Design Lifecycle, and Risk Management related to NPD

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree preferred.
