As directed, the Lead Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; and removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. The Lead may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Note: Exclude workers whose primary duties involve receiving materials stocking materials and maintaining inventory and operating forklifts.

Education:  A high school diploma is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: Current driver’s license. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC card.

Experience:  Person must have experience in maintaining inventory. Preferred knowledge of GCSS-Army.

Other Qualifications:  Direct other employee’s, must be proficient in excel, and computer skills. Must be able to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.
