We are looking for a passionate Senior Unity Meta Developer to help forge the player experience of the game to captivate our audiences like never before.
 

As a developer, you have a curiosity about understanding the tech stack, you have good analytical capabilities, and you write well-structured code.  You are comfortable working with a complicated code-base and have an excellent sense of what is performant and scalable. We can't wait to meet you!
 

Join us and work directly on the meta team to help us craft Blizzard’s next great game, hand in hand with our creative, art, and other tech teams.
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, implement, and maintain various meta systems for the game.

  • Act as a service-oriented ambassador of engineering to the rest of the team, while delivering scalable, maintainable, high quality, and well-structured code.

  • Work closely with meta designers, programmers, and artists to ensure an outstanding player experience.

  • Be a role model with confirmed coding skills, an innovative attitude, and the ability to encourage those around you.

  • Be proactive and drive your own initiatives.

  • Be part of the creative journey, actively contribute to the creative process, and then complete it.

  • Be responsible for the code that you build.

You’ll be working outside gameplay and focus on:

  • Application flow.

  • Progression features (ex. player level).

  • Retention features (ex. daily bonus).

  • Monetisation features (ex. shop).

  • Vanity screens.

  • Results screens.

  • Complex UI systems and a bit of 3D.

  • Data communication with backend for the features mentioned above.

Minimum Requirements

  • Passionate about programming with an eye for quality and polish.

  • Analytical and genuinely interested in understanding the tech you work with.

  • Generalist developer that likes all sorts of challenges.

  • Confirmed software development experience using C# in Unity.

  • Ability to communicate efficiently and support designers, artists, and other engineers.

  • Self-motivated and willing to participate in many areas of game development.

  • Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to balance multiple tasks.

  • Experience with UI, 3D, and motivated by UX; you are keen on making sure that we can deliver the best possible experience.

  • You feel motivated to develop new envelope features.
