Functional (job responsibilities)

Growth Segment

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth (loan, deposit, fee income & others) and profitability in the Growth Segment portfolio.
  • Acquire, building and manage strong relationships with Growth Segment customers, including understanding their financial needs and providing customized banking solutions.
  • Oversee credit origination and credit analysis process, compliance with regulatory requirement and internal policies. Ensure that key risks of cases are adequately addressed by in CAs before submission to CED (Credit Evaluation Department)
  • Ensure acceptable asset quality of existing portfolio by being pro-active and up-to date in terms of market intelligence in relation to accounts and industry of portfolio managed.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and risks in the Growth Segment sector.
  • Work closely with other departments/stakeholders to review/develop policies, SOP, products and so on
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on the performance of the Growth Segment portfolio and key strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with AML, internal policies including regulatory guidelines, SOPs, manuals and all other rules and regulations.
  • To strategize for growth of trade fee income for BCB, work closely with other stakeholders to review/develop Trade Finance policies, SOP, products, report of trade finance portfolio performance, train and advise BCB RMs on trade finance related matters.
  • Work with other tasks assigned by management

Product Development

  • Lead product development team, oversee end to end BCB product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring that new or improved products meet market needs, quality standards, and business objectives.

Credit Control and Governance

  • Lead Credit Control & Governance team, monitor the annual review of all loan under business and corporate banking are properly conducted and on time prior expiry date. Ensure credit compliance, policy and SOP are updated and align with current market practice.

Managerial (team/group responsibilities)

  • Lead a team of Growth Segment relationship managers, Business Development and CCG staff by implementing agreed actions to retain and grow the business customer base, sustain and increase profitability, realize new business, and efficiently and effectively assess and managing credit risk and costs to (1) achieve targets (loan, deposit, fee income and other key initiatives), (2) customers satisfaction goals.
  • Develop the skill set and capabilities of RMs and ARMs in line with the market’s changing landscape
  • Setting and enforce a high standard of productivity, quality and service levels

Organizational (organizational responsibilities) including Strategic Cost Management and Financial Goals

  • Work closely with other related departments to review/develop policies, SOP, products and so on, to grow the bank business
  • Ensure controls and compliances by Growth Segment areas / branches with regards to segment credit policy, regulatory guidelines and audit requirements.

Education/Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance and related experiences
  • At least 7 experience in the banking in Lending with commercial/SME Lending/Trade Finance
  • 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in commercial/SME Lending/Trade Finance
  • Experience in leading and managing a large and diverse team.
  • High Leadership and be able to manage team well
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and tight deadlines  
  • Customer Service & Process Oriented.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Concern for quality and operational efficiency
  • English is proficiency
