As Physician Director you will manage the launch/access to medicines ensuring high quality medical input and insights into the Global Medical Affairs plans and designs as well as drive the implantation of the local medical affairs plan.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Bring critical insight and support the development and implementation of the medical affairs plans for assets while supporting the development and implementation of the commercial plans.
  • Responsible for patient safety issues.
  • Provide technical expertise and insight into the market access and reimbursement plans.
  • Liaison with Patient Advocacy Groups and ensures the global strategies and tactics are being implemented locally while working in collaboration with the global function.
  • Responsible for the scientific support of the commercial colleagues in their daily interactions with the external experts.
  • Develop and implement an external engagement plan drawing on the global strategies and plans.
  • Assess the scientific merits and alignment with the global strategies to ensure funding and follow up on agreed timelines up to publication.
  • Responsible for the high scientific standard and compliance with relevant codes, policies and regulations of all medical and promotional activities.
  • Identify and solve common challenges and sharing successes and best practices.
  • Responsible for training staff on disease area and products.

  • Medical degree
  • Experience in Medical Affairs including launch/peri-launch requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Medical degree in Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, or Pharmaceutical Medicine
  • Knowledge of regulatory/market access and reimbursement requirements
  • Understanding of internal and external promotional codes of practice and regulations
  • Ability to assess evidence generation needs, review investigator sponsored studies for scientific merit
  • Ability to build strong internal and external networks
