Job Title: Senior Project Management Manager / Associate Director (depends on candidate’s seniority)

Base location: Beijing

Role overview:

This role’s main responsibilities to support President Office Chief Of Staff’s targets to (1) Transform; (2) Project manage strategic initiatives, for the company.

Key responsibilities:

This role will focus on the project management of company-wide strategic initiatives:

1. Support Chief of Staff to deliver 2026 company goal & objective setting by leading strategic initiatives

  • Project GRIT 3.0: Based on High competitiveness, High Compliance, and High Trust, further lead GRIT 3.0’s focus on (a) Ambitious Goal; (b) External Focus; and (c) Agility, with corresponding LT Sponsors & working team Leads

  • Tier 1 hospital leadership: Lead top hospital penetration & engagement, via scientific leadership, ecosystem building, and market share gain by managing cross functions’ joint efforts

  • Operation efficiency: Implement precision operation via hospital tier-specific approach, external partnership for life cycle mgmt., and innovative approach, so can create bigger overall impact with efficiency

2. Support Chief of Staff to collaborate cross function teams to move forward key functional projects

  • BPM post migration operation: Support cross function teams to establish smooth operation post migration

  • WeCom enhancement: Further enable with cross function teams to maximize the usage of WeCom application, by first re-assessing our Digital Strategy then double down on WeCom execution   

  • China Operation Committee: Support follow ups of the committee, to ensure rigorous execution of alignment & targets

3. Ad-hoc tasks

Experiences qualifications:  The desired candidate should have a combination of pharmaceutical PLUS consulting experiences:

 

1. Professional experience & hard skills:

  • At least 10+ years (depends on the role) of combined working experience, preferably with pharmaceutical MNC strategy, operation, sales, or marketing roles. Backed by consulting background will be a plus

  • In-depth understanding of China markets’ pharmaceutical industry, such as trends & policies, portfolio product life cycle, NRDL, VBP, hospital channels, retail pharmacy channel, on-line channel, various forms of reimbursements, and different GTMs (Go-To-Market) models

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills, with the ability to define the right problem, communicate with key stakeholders, set hypothesis, form the problem-solving structure by breaking the issue into smaller solvable parts, provide the appropriate next steps, and then influence key stakeholders so can really implement

  • Experience of working on highly complex environment, so can effectively communicate via verbal/non-verbal communication, Excel modeling, PPT deck with logical storyline, and execution to get things done

2. Therapeutic area knowledge:

  • Would be a plus if have prior TA experiences in Oncology (Hematology & Solid Tumor), Immunology (Derm & Gastrointestinal disease), Central Nerve System (Mental Health & Schizophrenia), and PAH (Pulmonary Hypertension) etc.

3. Characteristics & inter-personal skills:

  • Excellent project management & communication skills, including both verbal & written for at least English / Chinese languages

    Superb team-work ability, so can be approachable to build up trust & get the needed support from others when needed

    Can-do attitude to overcome challenges & get things done under both pressure & timing constraints

    High Credo & ethical standards by doing the right things and doing things right  

Educational qualifications:  

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medical, Science, Engineering or Business from a leading institution is required.

  • Would be a plus with an MBA, M.D., or Ph.D. degrees, and also if have international experience
