What You’ll Be Doing
Join CIBC’s Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) as a Sales and Distribution Analyst / Associate and play a meaningful role in scaling innovative, technology‑driven capital markets solutions. This is a full‑time role on a fast‑paced, high‑expectations sales and distribution team, supporting revenue growth, client delivery, and strategic expansion across CIBC Global Markets.
Launched in 2013, ASG operates within the Payments division of CIBC Global Markets with a mandate to design and deliver innovative, technology‑enabled capital markets solutions. The group blends the agility and entrepreneurial mindset of a FinTech with the scale, financial strength, and governance of a leading global bank. ASG is a recognized market leader across multiple product areas, including Cross‑Border Payments, Dynamic Currency Conversion, International Student Pay, Global Money Transfer, Foreign Cash, and other money‑movement solutions.
As a member of the Sales and Distribution team, you will work closely with senior leaders, product specialists, and partners to support client acquisition, expansion, and ongoing relationship management. Your responsibilities will include supporting sales activities and initiatives, developing and executing distribution strategies, enabling product adoption and growth, and managing performance across a diverse client base - including financial institutions, public sector clients, corporations, higher education institutions, small businesses, and CIBC’s retail branch network. You will analyze data and market activity, prepare client materials and presentations, and monitor economic and market developments to provide timely and informed responses to client requests. Drawing on your understanding of the FinTech landscape and disruptive technologies, with a particular focus on FX and payments, you will apply these insights to support commercial execution and product growth. In addition, you will support ASG leadership in driving revenue growth, improving distribution effectiveness, and scaling product capabilities. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to translate insights into action, support pipeline growth, expand distribution channels, and contribute directly to business outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the FinTech sector and gain hands-on experience in a growth-oriented capital markets business. You will be part of a dynamic, execution-focused environment that requires balancing multiple priorities and responding quickly to evolving client and market needs. The position provides direct exposure to senior leadership and is ideal for a high-performing individual seeking meaningful commercial experience and the opportunity to make a tangible impact.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time.
