A Brief Overview
The role of Senior Project Coordinator within US Individual Markets (USIM) Strategic Management and Execution Team provides project coordination support for variety of strategically important projects throughout USIM and will specialize in providing support to Project Managers and their associated projects.
What you will do
Creates formal project plans, tracks project progress against project milestones, captures, tracks and communicates project status, creates and communicates progress reports, and creates presentations on project status.
Maintains contact with the project’s team to ensure timely activity, integration, and efficient use of resources to meet requirements. Coordinates agendas, meeting notes and report progress of the work.
Assist Project Managers by producing detailed reports and notifications as appropriate.
Manage and controls activities of assigned project members.
Assist Project Managers with time tracking, project proposals, ROI’s, and other Project Manager tasks to ensure all projects meet obligations and expectations.
Facilitates project startup through initial creation and setup of plans utilizing standard project management tools; creation and setup of project workspace/collaboration space to manage project work products; creation and setup of e-mail distribution lists.
Coordinate and facilitate Project Kickoff and Project operational meetings for supported projects.
Provides support on special projects, as needed.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent experience required
5+ Years project coordination experience required
4+ Years project coordination experience preferred
Prior experience working in software development environment preferred
Experience in insurance/reinsurance preferred
Prior project management experience preferred
Intermediate Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills; Basic Microsoft Project skills required
Basic knowledge of accounting and math skills required
Intermediate project management skills required
Attention to detail skills required
Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability; Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions required
Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge; Basic negotiating and persuasion skills required
Intermediate level of investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; Ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions required
Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables required
Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects; Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives required
Ability to foster customer service as needed required
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality required
Knowledge of project management methodologies preferred
Entry level training in Project Management Preferred

Compensation Range:
$76,100.00 - $108,050.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
