Product Management Summer 2025 Internship at UIUC (Research Park)


Job Description

This position is for University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign students graduating in December 2025 or later. Only students currently enrolled at UIUC will be considered.

Motorola Solutions’ innovation center at UIUC’s Research Park is looking for a motivated, pursuit-driven intern with a passion for product management for a full-time Summer 2025 Internship.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team, consisting of the product management, user experience, and software engineering interns in developing customer-focused software solutions.  

  • Lead customer discovery sessions with service providers and their clients to determine the proper product/market fit for our solution.

  • Work closely with the UI/UX lead on iterating fast prototypes and gaining customer feedback.

  • Work closely with the software engineering team to ensure they are tackling the biggest challenges first and properly focused on their sprints.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with modern product management processes and techniques, such as those outlined in the book "Inspired" by Marty Cagan.

  • Highly motivated individual who is energized and has a willingness to learn.

  • Well-organized and ability to manage multiple assignments at once 

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above

This internship is fully onsite. Work will be in-person at our Champaign office for the entire duration. There is no option for remote work in this internship.


Basic Requirements

  • Must be a current student at the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaig, pursuing a majoring or minoring in a discipline related to Business.

  • Graduating year December 2025 or after.

  • Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
