Your Role at Baxter:

The Sr. Engineer, Tech Support works closely with other members of the Services Team including Support, Upgrades, and Implementations to ensure customer satisfaction through all service events.

Your Team:

Responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting support of Baxter Connected Care products. Duties include advanced troubleshooting of complex cases, providing mentoring and guidance for Support Technicians, and ensuring knowledge base articles are created and updated for Care Communications products. Additionally, the Sr. Engineer will provide support to other Service Teams including Upgrade Engineers and Implementation Engineers as needed.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting on all Care Communications Nurse Call Products (Voalte/Navicare Nurse Call, Patient Safety, RTLS, Integrations, and new products as introduced).
  • Serve as a liaison to other support team members for knowledge transfer.
  • Act as the inter-team issue escalation pathway for Upgrades and Implementations.
  • Provide oversight, training, and direction to support teams to ensure Care Communications SLA’s are met.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify repeat issues leading to product outages.
  • Work closely with Lead Engineers to develop and implement on-the-job training (OJT) curriculum for support technicians.
  • Understand back-end network security and Active Directory functionality.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required, or equivalent experience of a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Advanced understanding of supporting Microsoft Windows platforms, SQL, IIS server, and associated networked systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of common network protocols/architecture (TCP/IP, IP routing, OSI model, VLAN, etc.).
  • Experience in software or application architecture and/or consulting.
  • Experience configuring, setting up, and debugging PC-based systems.
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, CCIE) or Microsoft Industry certifications.
  • Availability to support a 24x7x365 Technical Support Operation.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 15%.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have a valid driver’s license.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
