Schedule: 9a-5p (No weekends)

SUMMARY

Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies necessary for administration of general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia and supports anesthesia services. Maintains inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Cleans and disinfects an operating room by properly disposing infectious waste, mopping floors, cleaning equipment and washing tables and sinks. Work is done using specific cleaning products to ensure the safety of patients. Responsible for supporting the efforts of all Operating Room staff to help guarantee patient safety and achieve the successful completion of daily surgical procedures. Focus of the position is on identifying staff needs, communicating effectively and assisting in the delivery of excellent customer service and patient care. Adhere to the professional standards of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares and maintains Anesthesia equipment and supplies as directed by Anesthesia Providers.

  • Assist anesthesia providers as directed.

  • Responsible for surgical room cleanliness and turning over rooms between surgeries, maintains operating rooms and support areas. Adheres to infection control policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and assist with inventory control including but not limited to restocking anesthesia supplies.

  • Assist in moving and positioning patients.

  • Participate in performance improvement projects.

  • Delivers appropriate equipment to specified areas. Examples include but are not limited to orthopedic equipment, inpatient beds, ambulatory stretchers, and patient positioning devices.

Desired Attributes:

  • Certified anesthesia technician (Cer.A.T.) or equivalent certification preferred

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE:

$19.01 - $28.79

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
