Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Level 10) to oversee and manage our enterprise Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and high-availability solutions, and will be adept at leading complex database projects. Key Responsibilities: 1 Database Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases. Ensure database security, backup, and recovery procedures are implemented and maintained. Database Patching including Grid and rdbms. Shell scripting is added advantage. 2 Performance Tuning: Perform advanced performance tuning and optimization for database systems. Analyse and resolve complex database issues, including query performance and resource management. 3 High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high-availability solutions and disaster recovery strategies. Manage and troubleshoot Oracle Data Guard and Oracle RAC environments. 4 Project Leadership: Lead and manage large-scale database projects and migrations. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database designs and support application development. 5 Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards for data integrity and security. Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures. 6 Team Leadership and Training: Mentor and train junior database administrators and team members. Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex database issues. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. Experience: Certifications: Skills: Advanced knowledge of Oracle database architecture, features, and tools. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning. Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other high-availability solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Shell Scripting.
