Who we’re looking for:
We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager (minimum 6 years agency experience) to play a key role in the delivery and growth of some of our international accounts. Our client roster spans a wide range of global brands and purpose-driven organisations, across different markets and disciplines (UNICEF, HSBC, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Amazon, and others).
You will work closely with the Account Director, supporting the strategic and creative development of the accounts while ensuring the highest standard of delivery across all projects.
We’re looking for someone with strong international experience, ideally working with big brands and complex, multi-market environments. Someone who is passionate about creativity in marketing, brings energy and strategic thinking to the table as they are delivering projects.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine strong delivery leadership with growing strategic responsibility in a truly international environment.
What you’ll do:
- Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day project management across different stakeholders
- Understand and interpret the client’s brief, challenging the ask when necessary to ensure VML is always delivering the best solution, pulling in other members of the team as and when required.
- Work alongside all departments within the agency, such as Strategy, Creative, Production, Media and Tech, as well as other offices across the network.
- Closely working with the Account Director to ensure ways of working, processes and methods are properly implemented.
- Facilitate the development of successful campaigns, ensuring all projects are running smoothly, on scheduled and withing budget estimations.
- Support the definition of strategic approaches to meet clients’ objectives, working closely with Strategy and Creative teams to ensure strong, insight-led solutions.
- Take full ownership of projects from brief to delivery, combining strategic thinking with hands-on operational excellence.
- Liaise with both internal (agency) and external (client and third party) stakeholders on a daily basis.
- Ensure best-in-class project management standards: timelines, scopes, status sheets, agendas, contact reports and documentation are always accurate and up to date.
- Drive regular status meetings with both the internal team and the client, updating client-monitored status sheet detailing all the projects in the pipeline and ensuring full visibility of progress, risks and priorities.
- Circulate agendas before every meeting and contact report any follow ups.
- Be comfortable presenting creative work to clients, taking and challenging feedback when necessary.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, flagging issues early and proposing clear, practical solutions.
- Support financial management across projects, including scope control, forecasting and budget tracking.
- Drive opportunities for innovation on ways of working with stakeholders and agency teams to optimise processes.
- Foster collaboration, strategic thinking and creative ambition across projects and teams.
Who you are:
- Someone genuinely motivated by creativity and marketing communications’ role in helping clients achieve their objectives.
- Creatively passionate and strategically minded: you care as much about the thinking behind the work as the execution itself.
- Comfortable taking ownership and accountability of your projects and client relationships.
- A confident and collaborative team player who enjoys partnering with others to create stronger outcomes.
- A great communicator who always considers their audience and how their message will be interpreted.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple projects across different markets.
- Detail-oriented and quality-driven: everything you send out is accurate, clear and considered.
- Always curious, never afraid to ask questions and proactively seek out information and better ways of working.
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery when needed.
What you’ll need:
- 6 years of account management experience in a creative agency environment.
- Strong experience working on international business and global brands.
- Full business proficiency in English (native or equivalent level).
- Strong digital fluency, comfortable working across multiple platforms, tools and project management systems in complex environments.
- Extremely organized, process led, detail oriented and proactive.
- Strategic and critical thinking skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
- Brilliant and passionate communicator who values teamwork and client management.
- Motivated to make a meaningful impact on both client success and agency standards of excellence.
