The MDM Product Line seeks to replace the current Cognizant contractors based in Kolkata with internal team members located in Hyderabad to strategically internalize critical Informatica MDM expertise. This transition will enhance knowledge retention within the organization, improve collaboration through proximity to other internal teams, and optimize the delivery and support of MDM capabilities. Hiring internal resources in Hyderabad will also reduce dependency on external contractors, lower long-term costs, and enable faster response times to evolving business needs.

Role Overview

As an MDM Technical Specialist you will design, develop, and maintain MDM Products. This role involves both creative and analytical skills to solve complex problems and create efficient, reliable Products. You will use your expertise in requirements analysis, programming languages, development methodologies, and tools to build and deliver MDM products that meet the needs of businesses, organizations, or end-users. You will work with other engineers, product managers and delivery leads, to design systems, determine functional and non-functional needs and implement solutions accordingly. You should be ready to work independently as well as in a team.

What will you do in this role

• Help the MDM Product Line team with implementation of modern global solutions for Master Data and Reference Data Management using a cloud-based technological stack.
• Develop, design, and deploy Informatica IDMC (MDM, RDM, CDI, CDQ, CAI, etc.) artifacts covering core Data Quality, Data Governance, and Business Processes relevant to Master Data and Reference Data landscape modernization.
• Integrate MDM and RDM tools with a wide range of enterprise solutions such as Metadata Management, ERP, BI, etc.
• Develop and configure our Core MDM platforms for Customer, Product, and Reference Data Management.
• Work closely with project Product Managers, Architects, and business sponsors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in problem management by troubleshooting chronic issues and developing long-term solutions.

What should you have

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.
• 3+ years of experience with depth in Master Data Management Integrations.
• Knowledge of concepts and demonstrated experience in MDM, RDM, ETL processes, Data Warehousing, Integration tools, and technologies.
• Proven experience in MDM Development with a focus on the life science domain.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM configurations - Data modeling & Data Mapping.
• Strong track record of experience in data modeling, data mapping, and data integration with SaaS implementation techniques.
• Experience in Linux/Windows environments, programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, Shell Scripting), SQL, and database design (RDBMS).
• Awareness of Cloud trends, Cloud Concepts, and other Cloud tools.
• Experience in collaborating with various technical teams and business users for Development, QA, and Operations Support.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica SaaS MDM (IDMC) configurations - Data modeling & Data Mapping.

• Hands-on experience with Informatica CDI, CDQ, and CAI.
• Experience in integrating external business applications with Informatica IDMC using Batch processes, API calls, and message queues.
• Familiarity with using Web Services, REST APIs, SOAP UI, Postman, and XML.
• Experience with the MuleSoft integration framework.
• Experience working in virtual teams comprising of internal employees and geographically separated vendors/partners.
• Experience with collaboration/development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, VCS.
