IT Technicians, We Want You!

The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced Desktop PC Technician to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Private Collateral Network support team in Redondo Beach, CA.

Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Position will work 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM or similar schedule ending at 6:00 PM.  Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site during this timeframe.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Resolves end user IT issues and provide end user IT services surrounding computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems while demonstrating expertise in customer service and technical knowledge.

  • Perform low-level system updates such as account creations, phone configuration, network device registration, etc.

  • Perform security vulnerability remediation when required.

  • Records, maintains and updates records in the Incident Management system. Performs analysis of problems and assist with corrective action to restore functionality, and works with technical, customer service or development staff to resolve recurring problems and issues with applications and/or products. 

  • Documents and submits problem resolutions to the knowledge database in order to assist other Help Desk personnel with problem resolutions. 

  • Provides technical support for computers and associated networks.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma and 4 years of experience; OR an Associates degree and 2 years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of experience is required

  • Must have a DoD 8570 IAT level II (or higher) security certification (examples: Security+ CE)

  • Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered 

  • Experience and understanding of Computing and Storage Systems and Networking

  • Experienced in providing remote support to end users utilizing remote desktop tools and walking users through troubleshooting steps over the phone

  • Strong proficiencies in troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree

  • Active DOD Top Secret, SCI, or SAP/SAR access is preferred

  • 3 years of experience with IT related hardware in a classified environment

  • Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCSE or MCSA) a plus

  • Proficiency in remote administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs, SCCM, PowerShell

  • Experience with thin clients

  • Experience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accounts

  • Cross-platform experience (i.e. two or more: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.)

  • Experience supporting VMware VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory administration, and LAN/WAN networking

Salary Range: $57,800.00 - $96,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
