Team Description (HM Drafts)

  • The Mobile SDK team at Pendo is responsible for developing and maintaining the Pendo mobile product, focusing on our mobile SDKs for iOS and Android. We work closely with the internals of both platforms, integrating with various mobile frameworks like React Native, Xamarin Forms, MAUI, and Flutter. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of the SDK through rigorous automation and maintaining efficient release pipelines. We also collaborate closely with customers to deliver the best possible mobile experience, ensuring their success with our product.

Role Responsibilities 

  • Develop and Maintain Android SDK Features: Design, implement, and maintain new features for the Pendo Android SDK, ensuring seamless integration with the broader mobile product.
  • Work with Android Internals: Dive deep into Android internals to optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the SDK functions smoothly across all supported devices and versions.
  • Develop in Different Mobile Frameworks: Contribute to the development of the SDK across various mobile frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, Xamarin Forms, and MAUI, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Ensure Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on quality by developing unit tests, implementing automated testing, and participating in code reviews.
  • Integrate with Mobile Frameworks: Collaborate with the team to ensure the SDK works seamlessly with various mobile frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, Xamarin Forms, and MAUI.
  • Support International Customers: Provide technical support and solutions to international customers, addressing issues and ensuring their success with the Pendo mobile SDK.
  • Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, customer-facing teams, and other engineers to align on goals and deliver the best possible mobile experience.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in team discussions and initiatives to improve processes, tools, and practices, ensuring the SDK remains at the forefront of mobile development.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Related Field, or Equivalent Experience: A solid educational background in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Android App Development and/or Mobile SDK Development: Proven expertise in developing Android applications or SDKs, with a deep understanding of Android development practices.
  • Passion for Mobile Development and Learning New Technologies: Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest trends in mobile development, and flexibility in working with different frameworks and development environments.
  • Strong English Verbal Skills and Service Awareness: Excellent English communication skills and a customer-centric approach, enabling effective technical support for international customers.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate smoothly with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient project execution.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Mobile SDK Development: Prior experience in developing and maintaining mobile SDKs, with a focus on Android.
  • Proficiency in Mobile Frameworks: Hands-on experience developing in mobile frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, Xamarin Forms, and MAUI.
  • Deep Understanding of Android Internals: Strong knowledge of Android internals, including performance optimization, memory management, and working with different Android versions and devices.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications or SDKs.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Security Best Practices: Understanding of security principles in mobile development, ensuring that the SDK meets industry standards for data protection and privacy.
