Manage incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all compute, network, storage, security, or automation incidents /requests. Manage rollout of patches and release management schedule and implementation.

Summary:
As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure environment and/or applications through cross-technology administration. You will be responsible for scripting and monitoring automation execution, managing incidents with a focus on service restoration, and acting as operations support for all compute, network, storage, security, or automation incidents/requests. Additionally, you will manage the rollout of patches and release management schedule and implementation, ensuring smooth operations of the cloud environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle server software and related products.
• Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle-related products.
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
• Plan and implement capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability of Oracle databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
• Perform database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime.
• Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.
• Work with developers to optimize SQL queries and database access.
Professional & Technical Skills:
• Experience with other database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices.
• Experience with database migration tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices related to database management (CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments).
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
