About the role:
The Director of Prevocational Education and Training (DPET) provides senior medical leadership for the prevocational training program, overseeing the education, supervision and welfare of junior doctors across their first two postgraduate years. The role drives quality, accountability and the continuous improvement in training delivery, ensuring the organisations alignment with the standards set by the NSW Prevocational Training Council. This document defines the DPET’s scope, responsibilities and selection criteria and outlines the application and assessment process for new DPET appointments submitted to the Council.
