Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program.
Minimum of five years of clinical experience as a practicing audiologist.
Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), held for at least one year.
Current Arkansas audiology license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Arkansas.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, clinical preceptors, and community professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience supervising or mentoring Au.D. students.
Clinical experience in comprehensive audiologic diagnostics and amplification.
Clinical experience in one or more of the following areas:
Adult vestibular assessment or intervention
Electrophysiologic testing
Aural rehabilitation
Experience with curriculum innovation, academic program development, or educational scholarship.
Interest in collaborating within an academic medical center and an interdisciplinary healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
Coordinate off-site clinical placements for second-year Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students.
Match students with high-quality clinical experiences that support individualized learning goals and program competencies.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with regional clinical affiliates and community preceptors.
Monitor student progress throughout clinical experiences and proactively address academic or professional concerns.
Track students’ clinical competencies and developmental milestones throughout the second year.
Coordinate and teach second-year clinical practicum courses.
Provide direct clinical supervision to graduate student clinicians in the UAMS Audiology Clinic approximately two to three days per week.
Integrate classroom instruction, simulation, and patient-care experiences to support progressive competency development.
Conduct formative and summative evaluations of student performance using competency-based assessment methods.
Support the development of clinical reasoning, professionalism, communication skills, and independent decision-making.
Serve as the primary clinical advisor for second-year Au.D. students.
Provide individualized coaching focused on clinical reasoning, professional identity, confidence, and increasing independence.
Meet regularly with students to review their progress toward program competencies and externship readiness.
Collaborate with faculty to identify students who need additional coaching or remediation.
Develop and monitor individualized improvement plans as needed.
Collaborate with the Clinical Education Team to promote continuity across all stages of the clinical curriculum.
Participate in quality-improvement initiatives related to clinical education.
Assist with competency mapping, assessment refinement, and the implementation of innovative educational models.
Support preceptor training and professional development initiatives.
Participate in clinical outreach activities and maintain communication with community partners.
Attend monthly Clinical Education Team meetings and participate in Friday Seminar programming.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
