Role Definition: Coordinates engineering releasing activities between engineering design areas and procurement/scheduling with effective and timely implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, maintaining, and communicating accurate change management data at both the local and corporate level through data entry in multiple management information systems.
  • Analyzing engineering releases, changes, drawing notices to create change management requirements, providing the creation of product structure based on engineering design.
  • Maintaining close team relationships with releasing analysts, as well as teams in manufacturing operations, process planning, engineering design, and material planning.

Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; ability to design and implement ERP systems for managing an organization's internal and external resources and facilitating the flow of information between various business functions.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Evaluates the benefits and drawbacks of an organization's own ERP system for further improvement.
  • Consults on how to effectively integrate ERP systems with other platforms within the organization.
  • Evaluates the ERP system's best practices to learn its principles and applications.
  • Resolves all technical and administrative problems that occur throughout the ERP design and implementation process.
  • Advises the ERP design team on ERP systems requirements.
  • Monitors all ERP users to comply with established operational guidelines and standards.

Manufacturing Application Systems: Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Uses and maintains information or data stored in specific application; reports unusual situations.
  • Documents the major interfaces and dependencies to and from other systems.
  • Follows procedures for the maintenance and upkeep of the databases.
  • Uses all basic features of the information system in context of own work.
  • Works with a specific type of manufacturing application or information system.

Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Describes basic concepts of materials and capacity management processes and procedures.
  • Describes product life cycle and associated MRP cycle.
  • Identifies parameters and considerations used in making decisions about production runs.
  • Describes the use of bills of materials and other documentation needed to provide supplies.

What You Have:

  • Completed University Degree or in the process of completing the degree related to the position.
  • 1 year of previous work experience in such fields as purchasing, supply chain, operations, engineering, product development, or is desirable.
  • Conversational English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position is for a FIXED TERM with a duration of one year.
  • Availability to move inside and outside Monterrey inter plants (25%)
  • <5% of working time will be travel.
  • Work from Monday to Friday
  • This position will be in Monterrey.
