Accenture is seeking an experienced P6 Scheduler to join our Sydney consulting team, supporting major projects across resources, mining, energy and infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in establishing strong planning and scheduling controls to support the successful delivery of complex, large‑scale programs.
About the role
You will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules across the full lifecycle, working closely with project leadership, cost engineers, contractors and client stakeholders. Operating in a consulting environment, you’ll provide schedule insight, risk analysis and reporting that supports informed decision‑making and delivery confidence.
What you’ll do
Develop and implement the project planning and scheduling controls strategy, including alignment across client and contractor teams
Ensure adherence to financial, business and project processes across all project stages
Prepare schedules to support estimating, benchmarking and interface planning
Coordinate internal and external schedule benchmarks and ensure readiness for future project phases
Develop and manage the WBS and CBS in collaboration with Cost Engineering
Implement and maintain detailed and summary schedules across the project lifecycle
Integrate schedule risk analysis and mitigation plans into risk, change and governance processes
Establish project‑wide progress measurement and reporting frameworks, including clear roll‑ups
Produce and present schedule reports, insights and updates to project and client stakeholders
Support project close‑out planning and related activities as required
What you bring
Strong capability in project controls and schedule management
Hands‑on experience using Primavera P6
Ability to coordinate and organise multiple sources of schedule inputs into a master schedule
Experience producing clear project and program‑level schedule and status reporting
Highly organised, detail‑oriented approach
Confidence working with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders in complex delivery environments
Bonus points if you have
Experience with MS Project and/or Acumen Suite
Background working on large, asset‑intensive projects (mining, energy, transport or infrastructure)
Consulting or advisory delivery experience
