 ABOUT THE JOB  

The role is responsible for supporting the following activities across NAB Group and its subsidiaries:

• Conduct audit readiness checks

• Validation of internal and external audit findings and treatments

• Risk assessment of major findings, including ongoing assessment of risk reduction due to treatment

• Contributing towards the effective operation of the Security Oversight operating model

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Governance Framework Understanding: Familiarity with governance frameworks like NIST, COBIT, ITIL, and their application in managing security

• Cybersecurity Expertise: Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices in security measures, risk assessment methodologies, information security technologies, and emerging threats relevant to the financial industry.

• Risk Management: Ability to assess risks across the enterprise and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively

• Policy Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of security policies, standards, and regulations applicable to the financial industry

• Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security concepts into clear and concise messages to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management. Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with executive stakeholders, advocating for security requirements

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex security issues, develop innovative solutions, and make decisions that balance security and business needs

• Ethical Integrity: Demonstrated commitment to ethical behaviour, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and compliance matters.

• Delivery experience: Supporting the implementation of security GRC/audit initiatives/activities, and implementation of new GRC/audit processes and compliance requirements in large organisations, is highly regarded

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

• 5+ years of Cyber Security GRC, audit, risk, or assurance experience

• Prior experience in the financial industry, preferably within a similar role, to understand the unique challenges and requirements of securing financial institutions

• Experience completing security control testing or audits

• Performing security risk assessments

• Ability to facilitate workshops, investigations, and assessment of security controls

• Strong communication skills, stakeholder management and report writing

• Establishment of control monitoring and review practices Qualification Requirements: Relevant certifications and tertiary degree, industry certifications such as CISA or CRISC highly regarded.
