Role Definition
This role is part of a global team focused on execution of RIOP continuous improvement projects focused on safety, automation and replication of best practices across all RIOP facilities. This role will work across facilities to provide hands-on support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing. Travel to RIOP facilities to lead and/or support execution of RIW type activities will be a significant portion of the role. When not traveling to other RIOP facilities to support network projects, this role will be focused on continuous improvement projects at their home facility.
Responsibilities
• Identifying, replicating and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.
• Providing hands on expertise to RIOP facilities in the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
Degree Requirement
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience desired. Degree or certification in automation/automation integration, ergonomics, crane/lifting practices, industrial safety also considered.

Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

• • Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with OSHA requirements.
• • Designs and implements emergency response processes and procedures.
• • Promotes workplace safety among all employees; communicates safety rules and regulations.
