Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

About Team: 
Transactional Systems ,Bangalore in India is focussed on to deliver a multi-tenant Checkout solution using loosely coupled, cloud native applications utilising a micro-service architecture and domain-driven design principles. Unified Payment Team @Walmart Bangalore in India is focus on to provide a singular payment solution for Walmart and its multitude of ecosystems. We provide a complete payment lifecycle management solution that caters to Walmart's physical POS clients as well as Ecommerce and omnichannel consumers. Our services will be consumed by various markets across many geographies (US, Mexico, UK, Canada, China etc.) 


What you'll do:

  • Architect machine learning solutions given an abstract business problem.
  • Perform hands-on data exploration, processing, and analysis on massive data sets.
  • Use state-of-the-art machine learning, deep learning, and data mining techniques to develop proof-of-concept predictive models.
  • Lead MLOPs lifecycle from end-to-end, including solution design, feature engineering, solution development, tools, testing, tuning, and monitoring.
  • Design scalable, low-latency services to host predictive models; productionize prototypes on the cloud
  • Communicate the results to stakeholders and present the projects in internal or external conferences.
  • Research and develop advanced algorithms and techniques that address complex business problems.
  • Utilize the broad and deep knowledge of Machine Learning and Software Engineering to contribute to the team's core machine learning capabilities.
  • Mentor, coach and strengthen the technical expertise within the team.


What you'll bring:

  • Technical expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical analysis, and software development.
  • Proficient in data mining, machine learning, and deep learning packages in Python/Tensorflow/Keras.
  • Experience working with large data sets and cloud computing (Hive, Spark, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficient in coding SQL, Python, Java, or Javascript. 
  • A proven track record of leading innovation such as Medium Blog, patents, or conference presentation is preferred.
  • Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in any STEM field plus 14+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical associates.
  • 10+ years of experience providing technical and architectural guidance in a technical lead or architect role.
  • Experience in MLOps is a plus.
  • Experience with GCP services like Vertex AI and Kubeflow are desirable but not required.
  • Exposure to core Java, spring suite of products, complex microservice integration design patterns, messaging and pub sub frameworks is a plus.
