Senior Finance Manager

The Head of Finance will have responsibility for the local sales and marketing operating companies in 3 SEE countries (Croatia, Bulgaria and Slovenia), that deliver circa $250 million in sales, and will report into the Finance Director for the Central Europe and Baltics cluster in Mid Sized Markets.
Preferred locations are Croatia, Bulgaria or Slovenia.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Finance provides financial leadership and management and is a key Finance Partner for the local Leadership Teams.
You will have ownership over the local P&L, BS and cashflow and be responsible for shaping and delivering business strategy and action to maximize value from portfolio over the long term, by delivering data analysis and insights and partnering with business for added value decisions. This includes planning of revenue, resource allocation, optimization of working capital and the management of financial risks and opportunities.
In the CE&B Finance team, the Head of Finance SEE plays a highly collaborative role, sharing best practices, leading cross-country processes and cross-country finance initiatives to foster learning, collaboration, innovation and drive value to the CE&B Finance cluster.
Financial Controlling & Business Partnering
Own P&L, BS and cashflow
Partner with the local leadership teams to drive strong, insights-based commercial decision making
Partner with the local organisations to drive budget accountability and to ensure that OpEx budgets are fully utilised and maximise return on investment
Proactively and openly highlight risks and opportunities vs target to local and CE&B leadership teams
Actively participate in monthly board meetings, strategic reviews, annual planning sessions etc.
Own specific cross-CE&B processes and lead cluster projects as required
Line management of a Finance Analyst
Financial Planning
Lead the BP, JU, NU and latest thinking processes
Lead specific CE&B planning processes and support with consolidation, commentary, deck preparation etc. as required
Play a key role in the monthly IBP cycles
Work with the local commercial teams to drive a continuous improvement in forecast accuracy (IBP, latest thinking submissions etc.)
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure compliance with the J&J financial, HCBI and business conduct procedures and drive accountability throughout the organisation
Coordinate SOP updates annually and adhoc as required
Own various controls, including BvA, pricing, leasing and contract testing
Play a key role in annual PWC audits
Local lead on Internal Audits when applicable
Provide input to GS Revenue team to ensure that monthly cap and credit note accruals are correctly calculated and posted
Approve all pricing changes and credit notes
Responsible for regular ICP updates in line with list price changes
Responsible for quarterly statutory credit note and subsidy charges
Collaborate with GS teams and external partners to ensure compliance with any local accounting or taxation changes
Qualifications
University and Masters degree in Business Finance/Economics/Accounting is required
Extensive relevant business experience and track record of leadership experience
Preferably solid knowledge of pharmaceutical business and its interfaces (e.g. sourcing, Supply Chain, MAF, market access, pricing)
Advanced knowledge of SOX Compliance requirements
Proven financial and analytical skills, result and performance driven
Trusted business partner with strong interpersonal skills, team-player mindset and collaborative working style
Committed to high standards of compliance
Strong Strategic Leader with ability to handle complexity and ambiguity in periods of change; able to work under pressure
Strong communication, influencing and framing skills
Digitally savvy and open minded
