About the Role:

As a Cloud Platform Architect within our Cloud Engineering organization, you will play a critical role in designing, building, our cloud infrastructure and platform services. You will collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure that our applications are built on a scalable, reliable, and efficient cloud foundation.

What you will do:

As a Cloud Platform Architect, you will be involved in the platform design and architecture, technology evaluation and selection, governance and compliance, and collaboration and support.

  • Take ownership of the cloud platform architecture used by product teams, ensuring it meets their needs and integrates seamlessly with their applications.

  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand their requirements and translate them into robust platform architectural solutions.

  • Oversee the integration of new features and capabilities into the cloud platform, maintaining a focus on performance, cost efficiency, security, and scalability.

  • Continuously research and evaluate new cloud technologies and tools to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Make recommendations for technology adoption based on their alignment with our strategic goals.

  • Establish and maintain cloud governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of the platform architecture, including diagrams, descriptions, and processes, to facilitate understanding, troubleshooting, and future development.

  • Ensure that the different component of the platform architecture are cost efficient to run and maintain

  • Partner with product engineering teams to guide them in applying best cloud practices to their design and architecture.

  • Review and refine existing architectures to align with evolving business needs and technological advancements.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role with a strong focus on Azure.

  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Linux, Windows, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, AI/ML, and serverless technologies.

  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing large-scale cloud solutions.

  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.

  • Expertise in Azure cloud services and architecture.

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration and containerization.

  • Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and AI/ML technologies.

  • Experience with serverless computing and related frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams in cloud architecture and best practices.

  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering solutions on time.
