Job Description:

Radiation Oncologist

The Radiation Oncologist is responsible for providing a broad range of Radiation Oncology services to Bay Area Cancer Center patients. The Physician follows established guidelines, ethics, and policies and protocols of the of Bay Area Hospital (BAH), Bay Area Cancer Center (BACC) and the profession. The Radiation Oncologist functions as a cooperative and collegial team member with the Oncology Service Line Administrator and the entire BACC staff. Encompass the breadth of clinical care, including consultation, outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding.

  • Wide spectrum of radiation oncology skills (3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SAbR, SRS, 4DCT, DIBH, etc)
  • Efficiency with software interfaces (Aria, Mosaiq, Eclipse, MIM, Pinnacle, EPIC, Cerner)

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

  • Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privilege
  • Board Certified (or eligibility within past 2 years) with Oregon license

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience practicing radiation oncology with a strong record, or an excellent recent graduate
  • Demonstrated practice-building experience a plus

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently

  • Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision 
  • Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects 
  • Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair 
  • Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids 
  • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
