About the Opportunity

The Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing and Procurement is responsible for leading the development and execution of enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, procurement, supplier performance, risk management and cost optimization activities across both direct and indirect categories for Driscoll’s of the EMEA, covering operations in the Europe, Middle-East and Africa.

This role oversees procurement activities spanning packaging materials (e.g., thermoform plastics, corrugate, labels, pallets and other packaging related items), transportation and a wide range of indirect categories, including travel, facilities, office and field supplies, equipment, capital goods, and professional services. The Senior Manager will be a key architect of a centralized sourcing and procurement operating model, tasked with establishing standardized processes, strong governance and internal controls, spend visibility, and best-in-class supplier performance across the EMEA region.

 

Responsibilities

Driscoll’s, the world’s leading fresh berry brand, is seeking a Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing & Procurement to lead and transform procurement across the EMEA region. This executive role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide sourcing strategy while building a centralized, future-ready procurement organization.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement governance, supplier performance, and cost optimization across direct and indirect categories including packaging, transportation, and a wide range of operational and professional services. You will ensure supply continuity, embed sustainability practices, and drive value creation through innovative supplier solutions and operational efficiencies.

As Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, you will lead the development and execution of procurement strategies across the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement enterprise-wide sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, innovation, and cost optimization.

• Lead the centralization and standardization of procurement processes, governance frameworks, and spend transparency across EMEA.

• Manage supplier relationships and performance, including selection, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and capability development.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Legal, and Facilities.

• Oversee multi-year contracts and service agreements, ensuring compliance, long-term value, and operational continuity.

• Embed sustainability and regulatory compliance (e.g., Extended Producer Responsibility) into sourcing strategies.

• Benchmark industry best practices and supplier capabilities to maintain a competitive position.

   

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a seasoned procurement executive with extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation across multiple regions. You are recognized for driving results, leading change, and building high-performing teams. Key attributes and qualifications include: 

Experience & Expertise 

• 15+ years of senior-level strategic sourcing and procurement experience, ideally in agriculture, CPG or food-related industries. 
• Proven track record in leading procurement transformation and centralization across multiple countries/regions. 
• Expertise in managing both direct and indirect spend at scale with measurable results. 
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with multi-year contracts and SLAs. 
• Advanced proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau). 

Leadership & Personal Attributes 

• Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change across complex, matrixed organizations.
