About the Role & Team

Reporting to the Senior Retail Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and implementing our commercial and marketing strategy across UK Retail.

The retail account management responsibilities in this role will focus on key bricks and mortar accounts and omni-channel partners, across licensed consumer product categories. You will support with implementing the strategic objectives and deliver against sales targets, as defined by the fiscal plan.

The role will support external discussions with retailer buying and marketing teams. Working highly collaboratively in partnership with internal franchise, you'll work closely with category and marketing experts to agree and implement joint business plans (JBPs) with key licensees and suppliers.

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week in our London Hammersmith office. Please note, this role is a 1-year fixed term contract.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to building a data led understanding of key accounts, and their overarching category and marketing strategies

  • Support to devise account strategies that align to total Disney Consumer Product's business priorities, and build scalable and measurable retail activations that contribute to the delivery of the UK P&L

  • Make recommendations for exploring new business opportunities across key categories, product areas and franchises

  • Build robust relationships with buyers, marketing contacts and licensees to ensure brand engagement to improve sell in position

  • Weekly update and ownership of the account calendars and priorities, and help to communicate to the wider business

  • Liaise with buying teams and licensees to understand key retail moments in the calendar, product listings, and space/support across all Disney franchises

  • Proactively suggest ways to improve departmental performance and processes, using technological tools where applicable

  • Accountable for execution of the franchise calendar of specified retail accounts

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience with a good commercial understanding of the UK retail landscape

  • Proven retail account management, marketing or buying experience

  • Confident in working within FMCG, hardlines or softlines categories (preferred)

  • Experience of working in multi-level matrix and international environment

  • Strong digital and computer literate skills, and good understanding of Excel

  • Strong presentation, communication and influencing skills

  • Ability to develop and manage relationships both internally and externally and across divisions

  • Results-oriented, keen to challenge status quo, able to introduce new business practices and take calculated risks

  • Well-developed commercial and negotiation skills

  • Financial understanding – an ability to translate numbers into a working plan

  • Resilient and forward-thinking in a constantly evolving landscape
