Position Summary

Position will assist study coordinators in numerous phases of a large R01 study. The study involves the assessment of children and their primary caregivers in dyadic interactions and infant socio-emotional and cognitive assessments. This individual will help with sample collection, administering behavioral assessments, EEGs, MRIs, conducting clinical interviews, and various administrative tasks including scheduling, coding, record keeping, etc. This individual will be supervised by study PI’s and Co-Is with expertise in specific aspects of the planned assessments. Some evening and Saturday availability is required for this position.

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers developmental testing to children.
  • Screens, schedules, tracks, and consents study participants via phone and in-person as research protocols dictate.
  • Interacts with children in various experimental settings including interviews and dyadic behavioral assessments between caregiver and child.
  • Administers and helps with EEGs and MRIs for child participants. 
  • Maintains protocol-related records and documentation.
  • Administrative tasks including organizing and managing subject databases and tracking and ordering supplies.
  • Documents participant information and data gathered during testing using the REDCap research database.
  • Participates in the training of other team members as delegated.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field with at least two years relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Interactive communication skills with children and parents, effective interpersonal and organizational skills, strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others, including willingness to collaborate on a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with or comfortability to learn computer programs such as Outlook Office, Excel, Zoom, Redcap, basic data platforms. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or a related field plus a minimum of one year of relevant experience; a combination of work and education equaling five years may substitute for this requirement.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range

$19.21 - $28.85 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
