The person hired for the position of Senior data engineer, Corporate Research Laboratory Asia will support the application of Corporate Research Laboratory informatics across Asia R&D, with emphasis on data architecture, data integration, data governance practices, and development of localized digital applications that enable scientific, technical, and operational insights.

Primary Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: 

• Design and implement scalable data architectures to support Asia lab. informatics needs.

• Lead data integration efforts across laboratory systems, research platforms, and regional data sources.

• Establish and maintain data governance standards aligned with global practices, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with internal requirements.

• Develop, tailor, and maintain local digital applications and analytical tools that support Asia R&D workflows.

• Build and manage data pipelines, models, and dashboards to support research, experimentation, and decision-making.

Senior Data Engineer, Corporate Research Laboratory Asia포지션은 Corporate Research Laboratory의 인포매틱스 적용을 아시아 R&D 전반에 지원하며, 데이터 아키텍처, 데이터 통합, 데이터 거버넌스, 그리고 과학·기술·운영 인사이트를 제공하는 지역 디지털 애플리케이션 개발에 중점을 둡니다.

• 아시아 연구소의 인포매틱스 요구를 지원하기 위한 확장 가능한 데이터 아키텍처 설계 및 구현

• 실험실 시스템, 연구 플랫폼, 지역 데이터 소스 간 데이터 통합 주도 글로벌 기준과 일치하는 데이터 거버넌스 표준 수립 및 유지

• 데이터 품질·일관성·내부 요건 준수 확보 아시아 R&D 업무를 지원하기 위한 디지털 애플리케이션 및 분석 도구 개발·맞춤화·유지

• 연구, 실험, 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 데이터 파이프라인, 모델, 대시보드 구축 및 관리

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution

• Data engineering experience with a background in chemistry or materials science is preferred

• Min. Two years of data engineering or cloud development experience in a private, public, government or military environment

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to excel in cross-functional environments

• Must be highly motivated, self-starting and a creative problem solver

• 민간, 공공, 정부 또는 군 환경에서 2년 이상의 데이터 엔지니어링 또는 클라우드 개발 경험

• 뛰어난 대인 관계 능력을 갖추고 유관부서와 탁월하게 협업할 수 있어야 합니다.

• 높은 동기부여를 갖고 주도적으로 업무를 시작하며 창의적으로 문제를 해결할 수 있어야 합니다.

 

• Master or Ph.D. degree in computer science or electrical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution

• Direct expertise in AWS cloud development including knowledge of DynamoDB, AWS lambda, Glue, Batch, S3, EFS, EBS, FSx, DataSync, Amazon Sagemaker, Jupyter, and distributed computing platforms such as Spark, auth0 and Active Directory

• Expertise in software development including Python (and SciPy stack), JavaScript, Matlab, GitHub, Drone CI

• Expertise in database creation and management including SQL and noSQL databases.

• Expertise with web application and data visualization methodologies including React/Redux, HTML, Django/Flask, Django REST framework, Dash/Plotly, and Power BI. 

• Drive advanced model adoption through rigorous understanding  and application of the state-of-the-art data science methodologies.

• Develop and implement descriptive models, predictive models, classification algorithms, neural network models, and machine learning-based algorithms.

• SQL 및 NoSQL 데이터베이스를 포함한 데이터베이스 구축 및 관리에 대한 전문성

• React/Redux, HTML, Django/Flask, Django REST framework, Dash/Plotly, Power BI 등 웹 애플리케이션 및 데이터 시각화 기법에 대한 전문성

• 최신 데이터 과학 기법을 깊이 이해하고 적용하여 고급 모델 도입을 추진

• 기술통계 모델, 예측 모델, 분류 알고리즘, 신경망 모델, 머신러닝 기반 알고리즘 개발 및 구현
