Job Description Summary

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Cable Department
• Prioritize daily workload and assigning tasks to the Cable department staff while ensuring that the work is being carried out to the highest standards.
• Assist Cable staff in pulling orders, loading, and unloading trucks.
• Scan equipment in and out with barcoding scanners.
• Oversee projects assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Ensure that the Cable Department staff stays on schedule (pulling orders, projects, lunch, and cleaning)
• Ensure all equipment remains organized on the warehouse shelves.
• Ensure that all equipment testing and inspection is being carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Approve daily timesheets for Cable staff.
• Ensure that all WorkSafe BC requirements are being complied with in Cable.
• Advise Operations Manager of any equipment, staff, or operational difficulties.
• Attend daily general meeting, daily department head meeting, daily afternoon rentals staff meeting, and weekly CSR meeting.
• Interview new Cable candidates with the Operations Manager
• Ensure an efficient and safe warehouse work environment.
• Must work closely with the Training department to ensure proper training and communication.
• Reduce costs whenever and wherever possible.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to productions and crew.

• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar supervisory role. Technical understanding of lighting and grip equipment. Professional, clear verbal and written communication.
• Applicants must have the ability to work under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
• Applicants must have excellent numeric and organizational skills.
• Applicants must have a high attention to detail.

Base Pay Range

31.80 - 43.73
