About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Enterprise Data Architect located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX, as part of the Enterprise Architecture team!

As the Sustainability Enterprise Data Architect, you will lead and define enterprise data architecture strategy to enable Dow’s sustainability ambition. In this role, you will be instrumental in integrating sustainability data considerations into Dow’s overall sustainability strategy, ensuring that sustainability data is accurately captured and reported. You will also serve as a key liaison between the data architecture team and sustainability stakeholders, translating business requirements into architecture design to drive Dow’s sustainability goals forward.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of enterprise data architecture strategy to support Dow’s sustainability initiatives, including automated Lifecycle Assessment (aLCA) and Carbon Footprint Ledger (CFL).
  • Identify and define enterprise data sources and optimize data flows to enable efficient data collection and calculation for sustainability.
  • Collaborate with sustainability service leader and solution architects to define data requirements and design roadmap to guide implementation.
  • Partner with Advanced Sustainability Program and Enterprise Data & Analytics to prioritize sustainability related data onboarding.
  • Define sustainability related organization structure and data architecture with S/4HANA to uplift Dow’s digital core, as part of the NGES (Next Generation Enterprise Systems).

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in IT preferred OR a minimum of 12 years of relevant working experience OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills

  • Working experience and understanding of data architecture skills like conceptual data model and data flow diagram.
  • Familiarity with Dow sustainability goals and initiatives, and/or related work processes like Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing.
  • Working experience with enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Enterprise architecture experience and certification is preferred.
