Position Summary
This is an exciting career opportunity supporting a key enterprise initiative with state-of-the-art technology with Chatbots and AI.
The Aetna IT Delivery organization, within CVS Health’s Data, Digital, Analytics, Technology (DDAT) organization is looking to hire a Principal Software Development Engineer - Technical Lead.
This role will be advising a team developing critical applications in the healthcare industry. More specifically, the Technical Lead will be a vital contributor in designing and developing new applications and enhancing existing applications. The role of the Principal Software Development Engineer - Technical Lead may involve taking ownership of complex and crucial project tasks and guide teams of developers towards successful implementation.
Core Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Principal Software Development Engineer or Technical Team Lead. Able to lead engineering teams in developing and testing software projects and working in a high-performance Agile environment.
6+ years of programming experience with multiple programming languages with either of these programing languages: Java, JavaScript, or CSS, Python or HTML, Angular or React or Node.js.
4+ years of API rules and integration tools such as Postman or Swagger or similar tools.
6+ years of experience deploying applications to the cloud, integrated with cloud technologies (Azure, IBM, GCP).
6+ years of experience with open-source automation servers with either Jenkins or Octopus, or GitHub.
3+ years of experience leading development teams through CI/CD and Development Security Operations.
2+ years of experience building conversational AI chatbots from scratch using AI, ML and NLP technologies and development patterns.
Understanding of data security practice and having experience working in a regulatory environment, and able to understand the PCI data governance requirements and technical practices.
Preferred Requirements:
Presentation and public speaking experience to give presentations to software engineers, management teams, and other cross-functional teams.
Analytical skills to interpret data sets and problem solve complex technical issues.
Knowledge of IBM Watson and other chatbot development platforms.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent experience (High School + 4 years relevant experience).
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
