The Role

Overjet is hiring entrepreneurial-minded engineers to build new AI-driven products that will improve oral health for all. Collaborating closely with our product and other cross-functional teams, you will have significant ownership over the technical delivery of the product roadmap. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of dentistry.

We encourage in-person collaboration 1-2 times a week in one of our geo-hub office locations: Palo Alto, CA, Boston, MA, and NYC. 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain impactful software solutions that enhance our customers' ability to deliver the best outcomes for patients.
• Write efficient, scalable, and high-quality code, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Serve as a key technical partner to cross-functional teams, including Product, to drive project success.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Regularly scheduled and sometimes ad-hoc on-call rotations is part of the core job every engineer on our team

Qualifications

• Excellent academic background in Computer Science or other related field.
• Significant relevant experience writing code and delivering products with increasing levels of responsibility, preferable as an early engineer at a start-up. 
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, C#, and Swift.
• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure.
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and developing talent within the team.
• Experience in cultivating a strong engineering culture in an iterative, agile environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical, and mission-focused environment.
