Job Description :

Seeking registered Echo Tech for a flexible schedule Cardiology clinic setting. We practice Monday through Friday. This position is for 2 (possibly 3) days a week to complete echocardiograms. Days of work are negotiable by candidate as a part-time position.

Your Job:

The primary purpose an Echo Tech is to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic techniques to perform routine, vascular, non-invasive procedures, and echocardiograms to include 2D, Color Doppler, Pulse Wave, and Stress.

Your Job Requirements:

• Registered or registry eligible as a Cardiac Sonographer.
• Prefer two (2) years allied health program or two (2) years of college with biological sciences.
• Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography
• Must be able to recognize abnormal structure and be able to correlate this information into a useful study.

Your Job Responsibilities:

• Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards.
• Confidentiality of clinic and patient information.
• Correlates clinical history with the test to be performed.
• Performs complete study including M MODE, REAL TIME, COLOR FLOW MAPPING and DOPPLER.
• Prepares patients for examination and explains procedure to patients while performing studies.
• Promotes effective working relationships and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department’s/unit’s ability to meet its goal and objectives.
• Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
• Participates in reading with physician and contributes professional knowledge to final diagnostic impression or report.
• Maintains order cleanliness of all equipment and work area.
• Consults with referring physician, regarding patient’s previous history.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
