Overview of the job
P&G is currently undertaking the migration of our SAP workloads to the Cloud. In line with this initiative, we are seeking highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineers who specialize in OS (Linux/Windows) and server administration (Infrastructure as Code). As a member of the Global Cloud Hosting Operations Organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of Cloud-enabled Infrastructure and Platform Operations to support SAP and its Applications. Your team
This role will be accountable to the IT Director of Cloud Hosting Engineering based in Costa Rica and will work with a 24 x 7 team supporting operations and engineering for cloud hosting and SAP.
How success looks like
Functional performance:
- You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of the IaaS SAP cloud environment, ensuring that work processes are efficiently carried out to achieve desired outcomes.
- Metrics will be established to measure your effectiveness in completing job responsibilities, ensuring that tasks are drive in a timely and effective manner.
Time-based performance:
- Job will be structured in goals that a are time-specific, allowing for the measurement of performance over time.
- Detailed performance reviews will be in place to ensure continuous development and growth.

Responsibilities of the role
- Drive operational excellence and implement innovative engineering solutions for SAP in the Cloud as a Cloud Operations IaaS Engineer.
- Lead the design and deployment of top-notch IaaS solutions in the Cloud, using your expertise in OS and server administration to ensure compliance with architecture and security standards.
- Participate in the development of standard operational processes and procedures (SOP), independently identifying and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide Level 2 or 3 support for incidents and problems, actively participating in the service restauration process.
- Help operationalize resiliency and disaster recovery processes for our SAP landscape, ensuring the availability and reliability of critical systems.
- Active involvement in the development of key infrastructure processes for SAP workloads, such as automation and monitoring, to optimize performance and scalability.
Job Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Software Engineering, or other related fields
- At least 3-6 years of relevant work experience in Infrastructure and Platform Operations roles
- Intermediate to Advanced Hands-On experience with Microsoft Azure Platform IaaS Services and/or On-Premise workloads, and Linux OS Administration Systems.
- Intermediate level experience using one or more scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or BaSH
- Intermediate level experience in managing applications running in Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Weblogic, IIS or Docker
- Intermediate ITIL4 Knowledge
- Strong analytical, debugging and problem solving skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in Windows/Linux system administration, server administration, networking and connectivity
- Certified on one or more of the following: ITIL4 Foundations, DevOps Foundation, SRE Foundation
- Certified on Microsoft Azure AZ-104, AWS SysOps or any equivalent
Soft skills:
- Intermediate to advanced English language, both written and spoken.
- Ability to apply critical thinking to effectively resolve incidents.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to management, colleagues, application owners and technology professionals
