Position Summary
The Product Analyst, SIU Applications serves as a key liaison between Aetna’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and the Agile development team. This role gathers requirements, leads UAT, supports product enhancements, and ensures SIU applications meet investigative and operational needs. The ideal candidate combines analytical skills with strong communication to guide enhancements from concept through release.
The ideal candidate excels at breaking down complex business needs, collaborating with cross‑functional partners, and supporting product enhancements from conception through rollout. The role requires comfort working in both business and technical contexts, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to provide SIU teams with tools that improve investigative effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Business Representation & Requirements Gathering
Serve as the primary liaison between SIU stakeholders and the Agile development team.
Represent SIU business needs during planning, design discussions, and prioritization activities.
Translate business needs into clear, comprehensive business requirements and user stories.
Present enhancement and defect requests for review, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
Agile Delivery & Execution
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Develop and execute test scripts; lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with SIU end users.
Manage work items and maintain accurate documentation for all requests in Jira.
Troubleshoot and validate issues during development, testing, and release cycles.
Release Management, Communication & Support
Develop and distribute release notes and user communications for upcoming changes.
Conduct user training sessions, product demos, and post‑release support activities.
Ensure tool functionality aligns with SIU investigative and operational needs.
Maintain functional documentation for SIU applications and updates.
This is a work-from-home position in the US. supporting standard east coast business hours.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in business analysis, product support, application support, project coordination or related work.
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories or technical documentation.
Hands‑on experience with software testing, UAT coordination or quality assurance activities.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including troubleshooting application or workflow issues.
Experience drafting release notes, user guides, or application documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train end users and develop documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders at all levels.
Experience preparing and delivering demos, training sessions, or stakeholder presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
Experience supporting applications used in fraud, waste, and abuse detection, healthcare analytics, or investigative operations.
Knowledge of healthcare claims data, SIU processes, or investigative workflows.
Prior involvement in release cycles, validation, or defect triage.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
