We are seeking a talented individual to join our Digital Asia team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS). This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.

Intern - AI Research and Development Analyst

The intern, AI Research and Development Analyst will conduct deep research analysis and develop AI solutions to integrate within the Marsh risk landscape.

We will count on you to:

  • Conduct research and analysis on emerging AI technologies,  such as generative AI, virtual assistants, data extraction, and predictive analytics, for automation, analytics, and intelligent assistant use cases.

  • Partner with business and tech teams to understand the problem, identify prerequisites, and develop customized prototype solutions tailored to the use case.

  • Design & implement technical solutions (proof of concept/minimum viable product) for specific AI use cases, utilizing provided infrastructure and resources.

  • Document the technical approach and considerations for scaling the implemented solutions.

What you need to have:

  • Currently pursuing OR an active/ ongoing student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or related fields.

  • Knowledge of AI concepts, algorithms, and tools in data extraction technologies (RPA, OCR, NLP, computer vision), generative AI (Large Language Models, Agentic), virtual assistants, or data science and ML algorithms (Python, R, other data science tools).

  • Familiarity with UX design principles and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Canva).

  • Strong attitude, analytical skills, problem-solving ability, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently. High adaptability, detail-oriented, compliant, and process-driven.

  • Experience in full-stack development (Python, RAG, React, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, FastAPI, etc.).

  • Exposure to academic and/or research projects demonstrating full-stack AI development.
