The Body Shop Helper/Detailer is responsible for supporting the Body shop team by assisting with various tasks related to vehicle repair and detailing. This role ensures that vehicles are properly cleaned, prepped, and ready for repair and delivery. The Body Shop Helper/Detailer plays a crucial part in maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of vehicles for repair, including washing, masking, and taping as required.

  • Clean and detail vehicles after repairs are completed, ensuring they meet the dealership’s quality standards.

  • Aid Body Shop Technicians with various tasks such as moving vehicles, organizing tools, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

  • Help manage and organize inventory of detailing supplies and materials.

  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring all customer vehicles are handled with care and respect.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the required standards before the vehicle is delivered to the customer.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

  • Good judgment
