Senior Manager Data Management
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will collaborate with the MDG (Master Data Governance) Product Owner and other MDM leaders to co-design and implement SAP MDG and global data management capabilities.
The Sr. Manager will participate in the MDG and S/4HANA solution design and will be responsible for developing master data strategies, ensuring data integrity and consistency across S/4HANA modules. This role will closely collaborate with the S/4 MDG Product Owner and other technology teams to align data governance frameworks with organizational goals and ensure that master data processes support business operations effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design and architect SAP MDG solution, including data models, workflows, and integration approaches.
Configure and customize SAP MDG modules based on business requirements.
Lead the SAP MDG implementation projects, including system design, testing, and deployment.
Manage and maintain master data within the SAP MDG system, including data creation, validation, and enhancements.
Monitor data quality and resolve data discrepancies and issues.
Conduct regular audits of master data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Analyze and improve data management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to integrate MDG with other SAP modules.
Work with multi-functional teams to gather and document business requirements related to master data.
Provide support to business partners regarding master data processes and SAP MDG functionality.
Identify trends and areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancing data management practices
Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the data management team, fostering a culture of innovation and standard methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience OR
Master’s degree and 8 to 10 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience OR
Diploma and 14 to 18 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience managing technical teams.
5+ years of hands-on experience implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
Strong knowledge of data management principles, data quality, and data governance best practices.
Experience delivering Master Data solutions through Agile methodologies for software implementation.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical or technology organization.
Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Fiori, Informatica MDM or Reltio MDM.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards related to master data governance.
Professional Certifications:
SAP certification (preferred)
Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical abilities to assess and improve master data processes and solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical collaborators.
Effective problem-solving skills to address data-related issues and implement scalable solutions.
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
