The AES Indiana Security Manager position directly supports the Security Organization for all ongoing activities that serve to provide appropriate access to, and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of employee and business information in compliance with organization policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement all security needs related to the protection of property, materials, and facilities against unauthorized entry, trespass, pilferage, vandalism, theft, internal destruction, damage or threat, sabotage, work stoppage, embezzlement, fraud, civil disturbance, or any other dishonest, illegal, or criminal act.

  • Develop and recommend plans, procedures, and programs to prevent loss or damage to property and persons, interruptions to service and business functions, and for meeting the Company's other security needs.

  • Manage security technicians and projects.

  • Research and deploy cutting edge technology and platforms.

  • Perform risk assessments and standard security designs based on best practices.

  • Develop physical security standards and oversee their enforcement.

  • Develop and maintain security budget for capital projects and maintenance expenses.

  • Investigate thefts of Company and contractors' property; investigate cases of embezzlement, fraud, sabotage, subversive activities, and other unlawful acts which result in loss or damage to Company, contractors' or personal property of employees on the job.

  • Maintain contact and coordinate Company security activities with federal, state, county, and local law enforcement agencies.

  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute written security procedures and manuals.

  • Work with vendors, application developers, database administrators, corporate IT, and other technology groups to resolve any problems.

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, development, exercises, and actual events.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and respond to requests for supporting information.

  • Oversee badge and TWIC processing administration.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of PACS and camera systems.

  • General working knowledge of computer networking concepts.

  • Must have a valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle.

  • Background check required every five years.

  • Annual NERC and other compliance training required.

  • Must possess a forward-thinking mindset prioritizing efficiency and innovation.

  • Project management, people management/leadership, and budget management experience required.

Work Environment:

This position is an office-based with local daily travel. The AES Indiana Security Manager position is part of a US team, therefore, there may be occasional travel for team meetings and/or conferences/training. Additionally, there is a potential for callout outside of normal working hours in extenuating circumstances.

Location: Office-based with travel to company buildings/substations within the service territory.
