Hours are: 7:30AM - 4:30PM (occasional Saturdays)
What You Will Do
Manage people
Be responsible for induction of all newcomers in his/her perimeter (temporaries included). Ensure the organization and scheduling of training actions
Analyze flexibility and multi skills needs of his/her logistic area, and define training plans in order to develop team autonomy and improvement spirit
Anticipate specific training/ habilitation and team sizing with MPS/SIOP figures
Monitor certification process for each operator and update in real time flexibility grid
Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, communication & performance boards update
Ensure respect of standard stops (breaks, meetings) by checking systematically on the Gemba, and validate operators working time
Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards
Follow up main objectives in monthly meetings with all people under his/her responsibility
Is responsible for personnel involvement and ensures a positive social climate
Conduct operators’ annual appraisals, as well as salary review and career interviews
Maintain standards
Perform weekly Safety Briefing and Flash Audit
Monitor the Logistics Safety action plan implementation with the CIM Supply Chain Manager
Make applied safety rules and perform OJT on Gemba
Ensure respect of traffic rules with a focus on pedestrians where forklifts are operating
Ensure existence of updated working instructions for every station
Ensure respect of all working standards (safety, work instructions, quality, 5S, respect of the product, OK start ...) during the operations and propose/ implement improvements
Define work standards with the help of support functions and logistics operators
Ensure TPM standards are properly deployed and used for handling equipment (malfunctions detection formalized on red tags), systematic inspection & regular cleaning of equipment by team, 1st levels of preventive maintenance, maintenance line QRQCs
Ensure logistics equipment is in good shape
Ensure that all displays of his/her perimeter (QCDM - quality & communication areas) are updated at end of shift, and make sure that workers have necessary material to do so
Manage Logistics Operations
Propose every week logistics headcounts & organization to the Supply Chain Manager, according to MPS data
Work with APU support departments to sort out identified problems in the logistics or production areas (line feeding) including external warehouses
Escalate the site Supply Chain manager of any problem likely to have a significant impact on the logistics activities
Ensure material flow from receiving to production (line feeding) and to shipping, truck time table respect schedule
Ensure logistics operations, respecting SQCDM (safety, quality, cost, delivery, motivation)
In case a detected problem cannot be solved by his team, assign and check containment and corrective actions with support functions and / or management
Review daily all QRAP (Quick Response Action Plans) of his/her perimeter
Monitor shift QCDM and ensure QCDM boards are updated
Make reports defined by site.
Manage Continuous Improvement
Lead action plans to improve SQCDM performance (actual and targets), in coherence with APU & Plant, including productivity plans (P-30 Cost Savings plan)
Identify productivity actions and propose layout optimisations to the CIM team
Participate in safety and environment risks reduction & lead line Safety QRQC for category 7 safety issues
Contribute to new equipment and processes start up (automation, AGV…)
Lead Zoning evolution and improvements by his/her team
Participate in APU QRQC
Pilot Plan Do Check Act / Factor Tree Analysis 5 WHYs on topics assigned by the Supply Chain Manager (Safety, Quality, DL efficiency, Maintenance)
Prepare Lesson Learned Cards & Kaizen Cards
Participate in VPS workshops (flow analysis – MUDA hunting, 5S, Hoshin, TPM ...) and liaise with Site VPS Manager for training to methodologies
Liaise with support functions to facilitate improvement actions within the team. Participate in budget preparation (headcounts, overheads, investments, P-30) and contribute to achieve the Logistics P&L target for his/her perimeter
Promote the Valeo 5 axes in daily activities, develop improvement plans on PS (Production and Supply Chain), EE (Human Resources), TQ (Total Quality) and reach assigned V5000 targets
What You Should Have
You have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge and demonstrated experience in lieu of education required
You have excellent written and oral communication skills and a high degree of flexibility, plus strong computer skills
You have a minimum of 3 years supervisory / management experience in automotive or a manufacturing environment
You have a minimum of 3 years in logistics operations, preferably at an automotive manufacturer
You have experience using an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, etc
