Program Manager

Description -

As the Program Manager, you will work directly with the Director of Portfolio & Operations to ensure effective tracking, coordination, and execution of key initiatives within the Inkjet Supplies organization. This role requires a strong ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives while facilitating operational excellence across cross-functional teams. You will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, driving execution and fostering collaboration across various disciplines.

What a Program Manager does in HP:

  • Program Oversight & Coordination: Lead and manage a portfolio of programs across the Inkjet Supplies organization, ensuring consistent monitoring of milestones, deliverables, and timelines. Align program execution with strategic priorities, driving operational and business outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the key point of contact between various departments including project management, engineering, intellectual property, business analytics, marketing, and supply chain. Ensure smooth integration of efforts across functions to support overall business goals.
  • Strategic Support: Assist in the formulation of strategic plans for operational excellence, portfolio optimization, and in-market implementation of hardware and supplies. Support in managing resource allocation and optimizing workflows.
  • Performance Management: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) for the department, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Issue Escalation & Resolution: Identify potential risks and issues in program execution, escalating as necessary and facilitating effective resolution. Work with senior leaders to remove roadblocks and ensure successful program outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders, outsourced partners, and suppliers to manage expectations around program deliverables, costs, and timelines. Ensure transparency and consistent communication with stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational processes, support cost reduction initiatives, and implement best practices to enhance team efficiency and program success.
  • Mentorship & Development: Work closely with team leads and managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for the development of team members. Contribute to fostering a performance-driven and collaborative culture across the organization.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in program management or operational roles in a large matrixed organization.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with experience working directly with senior executives.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on operational efficiency and strategic execution.
