Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Communications and Social Performance Manager to join the Communications and External Affairs function for Australia and New Zealand.
Develop and implement comprehensive strategic communication strategies to support bp Australia's business objectives to protect and enhance reputation.
Manage and deliver effective internal and external communications across various digital and traditional channels.
Speech writing, issues management, and media relations for ANZ.
Provide communications and advocacy advice and support for bp Australia's interests and key policy positions.
Help influence policy outcomes with communications and external affairs activity and plans.
Manage bp Australia’s social performance portfolio, including leading the development of the 2026 RAP, social investment strategy, Labor Rights and Modern Slavery document annually (2027).
Show strong stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Apply commercial competence to ensure communication and social performance activities align with business goals.
Produce high-quality written materials, including press releases, reports, and internal communications, demonstrating strong writing skills.
Proven expertise in communications, public relations, government relations or political staffing capacity, or social performance roles within a complex organization.
Understand the nexus between news cycle and politics.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies along with stakeholder engagement plans.
Strong understanding of digital communication platforms and standard processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to build strong networks, internally and externally.
Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform decision-making.
Ability to influence and advocate effectively.
A strong commitment to ethical conduct and social responsibility.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
