Internship: Guidance, Navigation, and Control

Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. 

 

Interns work directly with our experienced engineers in support of our business units. Projects may involve all aspects of GNC engineering including guidance, navigation, controls, autonomy, avionics, simulation, system test, aero sciences, and systems engineering. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. This internship will last 12 weeks 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. 

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester of school remaining after the internship. 

  • Students who have acquired a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application. 

  • Available to work full time for a minimum of 12 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework. 

  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Experience with MATLAB or SIMULINK. 

  • Passion for space. 

 

Desired: If you have any of the following experience, be sure to include it on your resume. 

  • Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities. 

  • Hands-on project experience. 

  • Experience with avionics software> 

  • Experience with C/C++.

The compensation for on-site WA applicants is $28.67 hourly.
