Job Description:
Responsibilities include monitoring the performance of a domestic discretionary or non-discretionary, advisory product, which may include managing a product within the brokerage or institutional offering. Responsibilities include working with more senior Product Specialists in developing product plans, strategies and enhancements, and performing data collection and coordination activities.

The Product Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Client Discretion program / $250 billion within the Merrill Lynch Investment Advisory Program that drive growth, while still managing risk. This role will support the program manager and collaborate with various business units to evaluate new opportunities, transform strategic vision into actionable roadmaps, and mobilize cross-functional project teams in building and accelerating new business capabilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partnering across ISG to develop Alternative Investments solutions for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management clients
  • Managing the portfolio trading and rebalancing engine for enhancement and technology transition opportunities
  • Managing product collateral such as enrollment docs, contract, disclosure documents, and procedure manuals
  • Executing or supporting program oversight and monitoring routines
  • Addressing ad hoc requests and issues relating to Legal, Compliance, Risk & Audit inquiries and partnering with Operations and Technology to address ad hoc issues from advisor and clients

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in the wealth management industry with understanding of investment advisory business and associated conflicts of interest and risks
  • Current FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required, or ability to obtain within 120 days of start date
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, and follow through skills
  • Self-starter with exceptional work ethic and an "earned not entitled" mentality
  • Strong data analysis skills via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access to make informed business decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex topics and ideas in a clear, concise manner

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
